The Barn, Tunbridge Wells
I have some great memories of The Barn, both personally and professionally. From engagement drinks, finding out I was going to be a Dad to shooting both my first wedding and my Mum's wedding at this venue.
If it wasn't so well known and popular it would be called a hidden gem. It's right in the centre of Tunbridge Wells, next to the train station, yet it feels tucked away and exclusive on a wedding day. The staff are always fantastic and they really have made the most of the space. With plenty of outdoor seating, a conservatory, bar area and upstairs restaurant, the place really is a Tardis of a venue.
When the weather allows, get outside after the ceremony for a confetti shot followed by the group shots. Start with your photographer up in the carpark opposite to get a lovely aerial shot of all your guests then work through the list of family shots.
You can even go across the road to Calverly Park for some couple shots which gives you a nice variety of backgrounds, lots of lovely flowers and colour as well as a chance to get away from the chaos of the day for a few minutes!
